Public Meeting Notice SRF Loan for Manville water and sewer lines project
The City of Torrington, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 12:00 PM, local time, on March 24, 2022, at the City’s Courtroom at436 East 22nd Avenue, Torrington, Wyoming. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to comment on the City’s plan to request an increase to the loan amount from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. The loan increase will be for an additional$3,500,000 to the already approved $3,500,000, bringing the total loan amount to $7,000,000. The loan is for the construction of the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Modifications Project. This project involves the engineering and construction of a pre-treatment facility and other headworks modifications. Pre-treatment components include screening and grit removal. Lift station pump upgrades, a bypass pump, a vactor truck receiving station (upstream of the main lift station), piping modifications, controls, flow metering, PLC controls and SCADA are also included in this project. This project will reduce aeration pond sludge build-up, BOD loading, and labor hours and maintenance costs, while increasing system efficiency and longevity. More information available at:
